Pool Filter Cleaning in Mesa, Arizona

Cartridge filters require manual cleaning on a regular basis.

Most manufacturers recommend cleaning cartridges when the filter pressure rises 8-10 pounds above the start up/clean pressure. However, some filter's pressure won't go up even when the filter elements are filthy so... most pool professionals in Arizona recommend manually cleaning cartridge filters once every six months. After a few cleanings, you'll learn more about the pool and how dirty the filter is becoming and can vary the cleaning intervals.

Here are a few pictures from a recent filter cleaning job completed in Mesa, Arizona.

 After Cleaning

The manual cleaning process takes somewhere between an hour and two hours depending on how dirty the filter is, how many elements are being cleaned, and how large the elements are.

Queen Creek Pool Service - Complete Pool ReHab

This pool cleanup was a complete pool rehab job in Queen Creek, Arizona performed by our Pool Service Queen Creek division. We drained the pool, mucked out all the nasty stuff, pressure washed the pool's interior, cleaned the pool tile with our mild abrasive water blasting method, filled the pool, repaired the pool equipment, and completed the start up procedures! The work took two days with a day in between to fill the pool.

This is an all tile pool so the end result is spectacular!

Green Pool - Pool Drain in San Tan Valley, Arizona

As you've probably surmised by our recent posts, we clean out a lot of green pools! This job included a drain and interior pressure wash. No pictures of the pool prior to the drain, but it was in pretty bad shape... This was a one man job so no action shots.

Pool Tile Cleaning & Acid Wash in Tempe, Arizona

Brad with Maple Leaf Pool Service performed this waterline cleaning and acid wash in Tempe, Arizona. I tagged along and took photos. This job included a pool drain, waterline cleaning, filter cleaning, acid wash, and a small crack seal. I only took photos of the tile/waterline cleaning but it shows a nice improvement.

After the pool drain Brad is starting on the tile cleaning.

There was a previous ghost line under the current calcium line which neither Brad nor I could identify or remove - but Brad got all of the current scum off.

Here's a picture of the waterline on the pebble.

Green Pool Clean Up

We're often called to complete "Green Pool Clean Ups" There are several different methods for turning a green pool clear again. You can drain a pool and muck out the algae before refilling or you can turn the pool chemically with chlorine and water circulation. The method you choose is dependent on other factors like whether the pool requires repairs to the interior, how old the water is and if you need to replace the pool water anyway.

We completed this job recently and because the pool's water was in pretty good shape, we turned the pool chemically instead of draining it.

Cleaning Out the Nasty Stuff Again! Octotillo Area of Chandler, AZ

Here's another pool recovery story from the nasty file...
This beautiful swimming pool was neglected by its previous owner and then... neglected by its current owner "The Bank" and now is getting a good cleanup by Pool Savers!

As we found it ~

We pumped all the "good" stuff out of the pool vessel and then pressure washed the entire pool interior! Here's what we have after the cleaning.

And here is what it looks like when the cleaning is complete.

From the other side!

We consider this one a good result for a days work!
